In the far northeastern corner of Italy, tucked at the foot of the Julian Alps and a stone's throw to Slovenia and Austria, you'll find Valbruna. The pace of life here is to be envied, the sense of pride to be respected. Traditions are held onto like treasures, and the cuisine presents delectable local flavors.

Chris Anthony Adventures and Valbruna Travel will start to organize bike trips to the North Eastern Part of Italy. We will stay at the Valbruna Inn but ride into Austria and Slovenia. We are going to start with road bikes and eventually have a mountain bike options or a mix.

After skiing in Cortina for 3 days we headed to Valbruna and were greeted by a big snow storm. Then came another 3 days of great skiing, fun and food with great friends!

VALBRUNA FOOD AND WINE VIDEOS

Having "zuccherini" (small sugar cubes) at Rifugio Gilberti in Sella Nevea. "Zuccherini" are prepared by Irene and Fabio, the Rifugio's keepers, with Achillea, an herb that grows high in the Alps, and 180-proof alcohol. This was the last lunch on the mountain during the Wine & Dine Tour with a Skiing Problem 2013.

I made my annual trek from Colorado to Italy for a research mission. Only to get lost... Just joking. Enjoy the short video.
